Jakýkoliv softwarový systém nebo nástroj má svá vnitřní omezení rozličného charakteru. Ne jinak je tomu u Lotus Notes. Pro verzi Lotus Notes 8.5 zde uvádíme přehlednou tabulku shrnující omezení a krajní možné hodnoty pro mnoho aspektů Lotus Notes databází. Pro srozumitelnost jsme ponechali tabulku v původním anglickém znění, neboť pokusy o překlad některých technických obratů většinou vedou k ještě větší nesrozumitelnosti.
